The Gym Keg is truly huge. We got the blue one and my husband has been carrying it to work almost daily for a couple of months. He works in manufacturing around molding machines and it can get upwards of 100 degrees F inside the work area during the summer. He loves it!The PROS: It is made of strong, thick plastic which should hold up for a couple of years, at least. The screw on top is leak proof. The handle is strong and makes this thing easy to pick up and lug around when need be. I can also see the strap being a bonus on walking day trips. The CONS: The closure at the top snaps into place and you just press the button to release it. There is no lock, so it could get hit by accident and open on it’s own in a bag or when falling over onto something. We are not a big fan of the straw design and I personally like to drink out of it without the straw. And, lastly, the sleeve doesn’t do much. It doesn’t insulate the bottle, but it might make it easier for some people to pick it up. Also, if you like your bottle full of ice for cold water, this bottle won’t keep it cold for long, AND it sweats.TIP FOR MANUFACTURER: If you could make a bottle this size in a double walled version, it would be in a class all it’s own!Overall, The Keg holds a lot of liquid and is made of quality materials. Would definitely recommend!

The gym keg water bottle keeps me motivated to drink more water throughout the day. The description of the product says hand wash only, but on the box that it came in, it said dishwasher safe. So, I tried out the dishwasher, and it washed just fine for me. I don’t know how many more washes it can last in the dishwasher, but I have a lot of water bottles as it is, so if this one gets destroyed it’s not a big deal for me. I would recommend this water bottle to a friend.

This water bottle is made of durable BPA-free material that is dishwasher safe and is equipped with a sturdy plastic handle, long straw with flexible-bottom for easy closing which makes drinking easier. The lid fits snug to ensure no leakage. I really like the design of this water bottle: which includes an insulated carrying pouch with adjustable shoulder/cross-body strap.

I love this water bottle! I needed something larger and easier to drink from discretely than my old-school Camelbak Chute bottles. Those are great, too, but chugging out of those during meetings is, ehm, “uncouth” and after several years of service most of them look pretty beat up. At 74 oz with a pop-out straw this bad boy is perfect. It’s not a thermos, so it doesn’t “Keep Drinks Cold For 96 Hours!” but if I fill it halfway with ice and keep it in the carrier, the water stays cold for several hours. The straw is a little fiddly, but overall it’s not bad. It has a hard plastic top piece that fits over a rigid plastic straw, and on the bottom is a rubber or silicone end piece that you sort of crush to create the spring for the pop-out effect. It takes a little finesse to get it to pop into the bottle when closing the clam shell lid, and when twisting the top on you have to make sure that it’s in the straw hole, but otherwise it’s a breeze. It could be a little longer, and I’ll admit that I have doubts that the rubber/silicone end piece will last all that long, but so far so good. If it does break eventually, I’ll probably just replace it with a 100% silicone straw. In the past I have used several other bottles/mugs that require constant disassembly of the lid to clean it, and they almost always are filled with gunge after just a few days if you don’t fastidiously clean them. No issue like that here, this is super easy to clean. I also have a few of the straw sticks out 100% of the time bottles/mugs and while they are easy to sip from and easier to clean, they also spill everywhere if they get knocked over, and considering that many of them are made to hold 40+ oz and also fit in a car cup holder, that’s pretty much an every day occurrence. Unless you forget to close this one it doesn’t have that problem, and I haven’t knocked it over (or had someone else in my cube knock it over) even once so far.The “cream” color is closer to what I’d consider “beige” but that really doesn’t matter to me. If it matters to you, consider the green, pink or black version, I guess. I’ll be stocking up on them.Edit: I ended up ordering the “Pink Cherry Blossom” variant as well, and like it even better. The springy rubber piece in it appears to be either an updated design or just more well built. Either way, it’s springier and does a better job of popping the straw up. I still wish they included spares, but I’m still loving these Gym Kegs.

This water bottle is VERY big! It’s awkward to carry. The pouch gets wet if you put ice in your water (condensation). Because of this it’s not a carryall solution for me. It’s easy to clean though. The bottle, pouch,& strap seems to be sturdy & well made. My husband likes to use it when he’s mowing. Because it holds a lot of water, and it’s easy for him to tote around. I guess it depends on who you are whether it’s a keeper or not? Overall it is a good product!

Man, I ❤️ me a monster jug with S&S going on – Sleeve & Strap! In pink no less!!! I took it with me on a trip to Memphis and the size was just right for an all-day affair. It was also not too heavy to cart around at the beginning of the day when it was still full. Obviously, the strap makes it a lot easier! The Sleeve & Strap can also be washed. Big bonus. I put mine in a bra bag and it keeps all those metal parts from banging around and snatching at other stuff. Highly recommend!

GYM KEG 74oz Large Water Bottle with Carrier.I like a lot about the GYM KEG 74oz Large Water Bottle with Carrier. In photo 1 you see the bottle, the included carrier, shoulder strap and reusable plastic straw. The GYM KEG is NOT sealed when the straw is inserted. If you use it without the straw and sip from the lid, you can seal it completely, snap it open and closed securely. No spills, or leaks.Photo 2 is the bare GYM KEG with its motivational level marks / sayings. I’ll pass on the writing.Photo 3 shows that the carrier is not insulated and does not help keep the liquid inside icy. Iced water that stays cold for as long as possible is my number 1 requirement.Photo 4 shows the ice water carrier that I have used every day and night for the last five years. I thought 32 ounces was big until I put it next to the gigantic GYM KEG. My carrier IS insulated and really keeps my bottles icy. That puts it way above the GYM KEG carrier.Photo 5 showcases the fact that I freeze my water bottles 3/4 full. I fill the last quarter up with regular water and I’m good to go. Solid ice block in my bottle and insulated carrier to keep it icy for up to twelve hours. That is why GYM KEG straw is useless to me. No room in a frozen bottle.I have a condition that causes my body temp not to regulate properly, usually with no warning. I can suffer heat exhaustion in the dead of winter. I carry ice water with me at all times. All winter and day and night. Drinking it, pouring it on my neck, or scalp can shock my system into working again.I love my own insulated carrier and wish the GYM KEG had done a better job with theirs.GYM KEG’S front pockets on its carrier are so tight, they are pretty much useless. Maybe squeeze a pencil into the mesh compartment? The zipper pocket is stretched so tight I was afraid that I’d break it. Might as well have just attached a strap to the GYM KEG lid handle and not bother with a carrier at all.Lastly, the GYM KEG hooks and rings that attach the shoulder strap to its carrier are very light weight and feel flimsy. Are they really going to hold a humongous, heavy 74 oz bottle swinging on my shoulder? The hooks and rings on my five year old carrier are stronger. They are getting a little beat up from five years of day and night change out of the rotating 32 ounce weight bottles that I use. I trust my carrier’s hardware. I do not trust the durability of the ones that come on GYM KEG’s carrier.I will say that the GYM KEG bottle is currently icing a half gallon of water in my freezer and I am looking for a 74 oz insulated carrier to fit it. Sooo much icyness!I am removing 1 star for the carrier flaws, but the GYM KEG bottle is excellent!

This Gyn Keg water jug is great, and I really like it, of course it also has some small issues and disadvantages, but for the most part it is a very good water bottle. The main purpose of it is for my daughter to take her soccer practices, and now that it is very hot she really needs that big 74 ounces of cold water to keep her hydrated throughout her games and practices. Before getting this one, she used to take smaller bottles, but they were never enough and with the Gym Keg, the amount of water is perfect. I will list some of the top features of this water jug and some of the minor negatives that I noticed using it in the last few weeks, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation. The jug comes in a very nice retail package with a lot of information about the company, inside there is the bottle with the carrier and the strap in a separate compartment and that is it.Positives:- Keep the water cool for a while – my kids soccer practices last a few hours and the water stays cold throughout but you will have to add some ice to it, a little less cold containment compared to dual wall metal bottles.- It’s big enough – 74 ounces or 2.2 liters are plenty of water for a few hours practice.- Lockable flip top straw design and anti leak and anti dust lid – keeps the top well sealed, and dust particles away from the water.- No plastic smell – I had my similar bottles in the past and somehow most of them had a chemical plastic smell, this one doesn’t.- Convenient carrier handle – The top handle is an unusual addition to the design but I think that is bringing a lot of convenience as you don’t have to hold the bottle with both hands while drinking, also helps to quickly pick up and carry.- Even more convenient outer neoprene sleeve with a pocket that can fit a modern size smartphone – The sleeve is great, probably my favorite feature of this jug, not only provides an extra protection and isolation for the water to stay cold, but also when you are carrying it and accidentally hit something there is less chance of damage to whatever you hit (car, fridge etc.) and also the bottle itself, and last but not least, having a large pocket on the side that can fit a phone is a big plus, especially in the summer, that way the phone stays cooler than normal since is closer to the cold bottle and is out of the elements exposure, the pocket is protected by zipper too.- BPA free and lead free.- Inexpensive, for the quality offered, the price is right.- Very soft and length adjustable shoulder strap – Perfect addition if you are carrying multiple items in your hands, backpacks, soccer equipment, ball bags, it is always better to just throw that one over your shoulder.Negative:- The bottle being plastic is not offering a long temperature preservation, in other words, cold water gets warmer faster than other style sports bottles that are metal and feature dual wall design.- The top handle is not adjustable and takes a bit of time to get used to – The addition of it is good, and convenient when drinking, but not so much when you want to store the bottle or carry it without the strap.Overall, I really like this water jug by Gym Keg holds plenty of water and keeps it cool for a relatively long time, highly recommend it for anyone that is practicing any outdoor sport especially during the colder months.
