As others have mentioned, these are shipped in three boxes of weights at 50# each, and one narrow box that holds the stand. In my case, while extremely heavy duty boxes were used, and well taped, one of the boxes was sliced open and minor damage to rubber ends of DBs in that box occurred. Looks like it was slid over something which cut it through.In any event, 2×5, 2×10, 2×15, 2×20, 2×25# DBs are included, making this an excellent “base” set. Handles are knurled and as expected in diameter and abrasiveness. No gloves required, but your mileage may vary.Is there a smell? seems to be the burning question. Of course they have a smell. They were just born of chemicals. They smell like what they are: rubber. So if you have ever had a new bike tire in your house, that is the smell, multiplied by a few pairs. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, and I was able to start using right away. I cannot relate at all to folks who seemed like they were going to swoon after opening the boxes.NOTE: I “washed” these with dish soap and water before using because they are covered in manufacturing residual dust etc. and will make your hands filthy otherwise. Mine did *not* have any kind of oily residues, as others have mentioned; again, just new tire smell, which for me is not obnoxious. But hey- some people think cilantro tastes terrible, so there is no accounting for taste.NOTE #2: Unlike the way Amazon’s own brand and some other DBs I have purchased are wrapped, these were just loose in the box. No Styrofoam, no placement in a baggie, nada. Just in the box. So they are not going to be 100% brand new and flawless looking when you take them out. Get over it. They’re dumbbells. They’ll look like that in a couple months of workouts anyway. Also, because there is no protection, be judicious in opening the boxes. Just slice around the tape so you are not gouging a chunk out of your new best friends.I got these for basically a buck a pound, which is what weights were before Covid, and what they should be anyway, and held off on buying them until I hit the sale amount. Having said that, they would still be worth it for the $200 amount too, of course, just slightly less of a bargain.As has been mentioned by other reviewers, the A-frame is easy to put together, but will take your fingers off if you are not watching what you are doing when replacing the weights onto the rack, something which was also true at many gyms I have used and is a bug and not a feature of this style of rack.Definitely recommend, and would purchase again. Plan on augmenting with additional weights and eventually using a horizontal rack for all of them, but this was a steal– and delivered on top of it.I am keeping the boxes. These are some of the heaviest duty boxes I have had sent to me. You should keep them until your return date is over anyway, in the event something untoward happens and they need to go back.

These are GREAT FOR THE PRICE. These things cost cheap but are made pretty well. Yeah they stink for a little while, come with oil on the rubber and handles, some with a little rubber that got sprayed on the handles but they cost so little! Just clean them up with some Simple Green and the oil comes right off. Hit the handles with some Simple Green and the scouring side of a dish sponge and the rubber comes right off the handles. There are imperfections on the rubber but you really need to study the dumbbells to notice. They are solid and feel great when working out. There is no play or slop in the handle to weight connection. The grips feel fine, if there are any burrs just scour them, its simple! Mine had no burrs like people said. The stand is cheap but it also cost cheap. It does the job and is safe for the weights it holds. I am pretty picky on what goes in my garage whether it be tools, camping gear or weights. These meet my expectations ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! They do not look bad, they perform well and are not embarrassing to display. Just go ahead and buy these!

This weight set is awesome, isn’t cheap feeling, easy to put together. Just as everyone else said they reeeeek, but nothing a good cleaning won’t fix, mine smelled like cigarette smoke lol. I didn’t read the manual to put it together, however when I realized the bolts were very loose and wobbly, I opened up the manual, you’ll need a wrench to hold it to screw it in nice and tight. It’s a sturdy rack holds well. However the edges are a little sharp, I nearly sliced my finger putting the weights in their spots.My set came 3 days early, in 4 boxes. 1 skinny one that’s the rack, then 3 boxes of 50 lbs each.

The build quality is exceptional. The dumbbells feel sturdy and durable, with comfortable grips that make them a pleasure to use during workouts. It does have a slight chemical smell to it.The rack itself is well-designed and saves so much space. It’s compact enough to fit into smaller home gyms but spacious enough to hold all the dumbbells securely. Took a while to ship, though not surprised due to Amazon Prime Day. However, when I unpacked them, I was missing my fourth box (20-lb weights and 5-lb weights). I did not see a way to contact the seller so I contacted Amazon. They told me they were not able to send me the missing box and I could either take a partial discount (which would not have covered the cost of new replacement weights) or return the whole set. I opted for the discount, which they only slightly increased.I agree with the other reviewers about the smell. The weights seem to have a greasy feel, though no residue comes off. They also have a smoke-like odor.The stand itself was not hard to put together and the weights seem decent quality.

This dumbbell weight set was delivered quickly. The stand was very easy to assemble and it supports the weights very well. I am 73 years old and I’m a personal trainer at a local gym training clients from novice to pro bodybuilders. I have access to a huge variety of equipment and use it regularly. I purchased these 5 to 25 pound dumbbells for home use.. I use them to quickly tighten up different muscle groups. Depending upon what exercises I need, I can simply grab the weights and using my bench, can accommodate an entire body workout using light weight and max reps. I work out 7 days per week with my lifting partners but, sometimes I need a little extra and this is where this set comes in very handy. The price is right…. The quality is great…buying this set was a very positive experience for me.

I have received the product now and surprised to find it is of higher quality than I had expected. The stand is very well made, easy to assemble and sturdy and excellent product. Great dumbbells, the handles are super nice quality, yes they smell like rubber, they are made of rubber. After a week or so the smell will start to go away. I’m not sure if they changed something but a lot of reviews say they had a film on them or they were greasy, mine were totally fine out of the box. I don’t really like the rack, it was annoying to assemble and all of the parts scratch really easily. But it does the job. I also received the package without any of the hardware to assemble the rack. I had to email their customer service, but they were relatively quick and I received the bag of hardware about a week later.

First off the weights work great, the grip is nice, they aren’t overly bulky or unweildy. Plus the price and amount you get is hard to beat!The only slight (very slight) negatives I have are eitg the stand on how everything lines up not being parallel/ corners lining up without a lot of work. But that’s the stand, that doesn’t matter too much. The only other negative is that you will need outside tools to put the stand together, as you need a ratchet to build the stand and get it looking great.Overall, those negatives are nothing that would prevent me from buying again. These are great weights at this price. Especially when you consider that it comes with a stand.
